Haben Sie sich schon einmal gefragt, wie Fallout: New Vegas in einer neueren Engine aussehen würde? Ein Modder möchte diese Phantasie Wirklichkeit werden lassen – und die Fortschritte, die er gemacht hat, können sich durchaus sehen lassen.
Das Projekt ist das Werk von Sir_Bumfrey_Diggles, dem es bereits gelungen ist Goodsprings und Primm nachzubauen, wie Sie im folgenden Bildmaterial sehen können:
Sir_Bumfrey sagt, dass er für das Weltdesign dieser Mod zuständig ist, während seine Freunde Quests um setzen und das „scripting“ erledigen, damit New Vegas zum Leben erwacht. Das Projekt befindet sich noch in einem sehr frühen Stadium, doch was bisher zu sehen ist, ist für alle jene, die sich nach einem New Vegas Remake sehnen, sehr aufregend.
“I have to recreate all the buildings from scratch, but the good thing about New Vegas is that many of the buildings are actually exact copies of others on the map”, schrieb Sir_Bumfrey auf Reddit. “Essentially the more of the world I build, the quicker I can build.
“The textures are definitely a bit different as well. I have found textures that can roughly replace the ones from New Vegas but not all of them are going to be perfect.”
“The aim of this mod is not to recreate New Vegas in Fallout 4, but to use the same location as a setting for another quest mod”, erklärt er. “That being said, I would be willing to get some of the base New Vegas quests into there just for fun, and if anybody wants to take it further they can use the map, which I will release as a modders resource once its more or less finished.”
