Nehmen Sie sich in Acht: Wenn Sie auf iOS Ihren Google Account benützen, um sich in Pokémon Go einzuloggen, haben sie womöglich dem Entwickler Niantic zugriff auf Ihre Emails, Dokumente und alles andere, was mit diesem Konto verknüpft ist, gewährt.
Im Unterschied zu anderen Applikationen, die mit Google verlinken und dabei typischerweise nur nach den grundlegendsten Accountinformationen fragen, erhält Pokémon Go vollen Zugriff auf Ihren gesamten Account.
Die App warnt nicht und fordert den Nutzer nicht auf, diesen Zugriff zu gewähren – sie nimmt ihn sich einfach, wie ein Pokémon Trainer in der Wildnis.
Es gibt keinen Hinweis, dass Niantic mit diesen Daten irgendetwas gemacht hat, und es könnte sich um ein bloßes Versehen handeln, aber es ist trotzdem für all jene beängstigend, denen ihre Privatsphäre wichtig ist. Sie können hier überprüfen, welche Berechtigungen Ihr Google Account gewährt.

Niantic gab mittlerweile bekannt, dass es sich um einen Fehler handelt, der bald behoben werden wird. Hier ist die Pressemitteilung des Entwicklers:
We recently discovered that the Pokémon GO account creation process on iOS erroneously requests full access permission for the user’s Google account. However, Pokémon GO only accesses basic Google profile information (specifically, your User ID and email address) and no other Google account information is or has been accessed or collected. Once we became aware of this error, we began working on a client-side fix to request permission for only basic Google profile information, in line with the data that we actually access. Google has verified that no other information has been received or accessed by Pokémon GO or Niantic. Google will soon reduce Pokémon GO’s permission to only the basic profile data that Pokémon GO needs, and users do not need to take any actions themselves.
